About Caprock Connect
Caprock Connect is a wine and social club for Lubbock's young professionals. We're all about building real connections through community, wine, and unforgettable local events.
Our Story
Caprock Connect was founded by a few locals who wanted to meet other motivated and fun people in Lubbock. Inspired by a love for wine and a desire for authentic connection, we partnered with McPherson Cellars to create a wine-forward club that brings together the best of Lubbock's people and pours.
Our Mission

What We Do
🥂 Monthly Wine Events
Host two events per month — one at our HQ (McPherson Cellars) and one around Lubbock.
🍳 Social Programming
Group cooking classes, golf tournaments, happy hours, and more.
❤️ Community Engagement
Partner with local nonprofits for volunteering and fundraising opportunities.
Wine Club Perks
- Members can pick up bottles at events or later at McPherson
- Option to explore new wines each month
- Monthly wine can be opted out of for a fee-based social-only membership

Our home base is the beautiful McPherson Cellars in downtown Lubbock. With a legacy in Texas wine and a stunning urban winery, McPherson provides the perfect setting for our events and supplies all the wine for our club.
Meet the Founders
Brent Butcher
Brent is a real estate professional, serial entrepreneur with a passion for bringing people together. He founded Caprock Connect to create a space where authentic friendships and unforgettable experiences are always on the menu—preferably with a glass of Texas wine in hand.
Korbin Champion
Korbin is an entrepreneur and finance pro who knows his way around both a spreadsheet and a wine cellar. As our resident McPherson Cellars expert, he brings a love for local wine, business savvy, and a knack for making every event feel special.
Courtney Vandergriff
Courtney is an Admissions Counselor at Texas Tech, a devoted wine enthusiast, and Brent's partner in both life and adventure. She's passionate about connecting the Lubbock community, exploring new places, and making everyone feel welcome at the table.
